National Library of Udmurt Republic Participating in Online Reading Marathon

The all-Russian online reading marathon #75словПобеды [#75wordsAboutTheVictory] is taking place in Russia up to May 9 (launched on April 25 as part of the annual all-Russian campaign in support of reading "Biblionight" dedicated in 2020 to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War). The celebrity readers – including some of the well-known actors, writers, art figures and sportsmen together with librarians from all over the country read aloud online the original war letters and excerpts from the most beloved books about the Great Patriotic War.

The National Library of the Udmurt Republic is also taking part in the reading marathon online: every day at 11.00 local time we post reading aloud videos in our vk.com page.

We invite you to watch the video featuring our staff member Darina Borovkova (from the Division of Cultural and Educational Programs and Projects) reading a war letter in Russian dated 1944 written by Ivan F. Kazantsev to his wife Klavdia I. Gamilova: https://vk.com/unatlib?w=wall-29190494_7866. This letter is from our new digitized collection  "Vestochka s fronta" [A Message from the Frontline] comprising original letters of our fellow countrymen sent from the the Great Patriotic War restored as part of our preservation initiative.
