On November 27, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is running a programme of events dedicated to the World Udmurt Language Day.

 

On November 16, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held an interregional interactive seminar "People with Extrability" as part of the All-Russian "White Cane" Awareness Month.

On November 7, a significant cultural event took place in Izhevsk – JSC Kalashnikov Concern donated books from the initial collection of the Deryabin Library to the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

The submission period for X Interregional Contest of Literary Translations "Translation in the Field of Multilingualism" for pupils of secondary schools and vocational educational institutions of the Volga Federal District of Russia opens on 1 December. The contest is organized by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic and the Institute for Education Development of the Udmurt Republic.

On November 8, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held a student conference "Russians in Istanbul", supported by the Institute of Social Communications of the Udmurt State University and the Republican College of Culture.

On October 27 at 12.00 the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is inviting everyone to take part in the international educational campaign "Geographical Dictation", held annually by the Russian Geographical Society to popularize geographical knowledge.

On 22 October at 18.00 the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held a literary festival "The White Cranes". The event took place at the House of Peoples’ Friendship in Izhevsk (33 Ordzhonikidze st.) and was attended by representatives of national cultural associations of Udmurtia, students, cadets and pupils.

From October 14 to November 15, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic traditionally organizes a series of events to the "White Cane" Awareness Month taking place throughout Russia every year to bring public attention to the problems of the visually impaired.

On October 8, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic opened a new season of meetings "Virtual Excursions Around Udmurtia" with Sergey Zhilin.

Udmurt Speaking Club "Kubo"

On October 1 the Center for National and Local History Literature and Bibliography of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic hosted the first meeting of the Udmurt language speaking club "Kubo".

October 1 marks the start of the submission period for the international e-campaign "The Word of Udmurtia Through Voices Across the World: to the 100th Anniversary of the Statehood of the Udmurt Republic" organized by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic and supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Udmurt Republic.

On September 18 at 5 pm, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is opening the book exhibition "Mikhail Kalashnikov – the Legend and the Brand: 15 facts about the outstanding weapon designer that you did not know".

On September 15, the Regional Center for Library Services to Blind and Visually Impaired Users (9 Lomonosova St.) held a meeting of young correspondents of the inclusive press center "Zhuraveynik" with editor of the All-Russian audio magazine "Dialog", writer Yuri Lunin.

The 10th Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" for senior schoolchildren from Russia and abroad in history, social studies and the Russian language opened on 19 September.

On September 6, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held an evening dedicated to the 90th anniversary of composer Gennady M. Korepanov-Kamsky.

On August 24 from 4.30 to 7 pm the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is hosting the event "Camera! Action!" as part of the All-Russian "Cinema Night".

The books-finalists of the 14th season of Russia’s most prestigious annual literary award the Big Book 2019 will be available for free at LitRes e-library for a limited time.

The National Library of the Udmurt Republic – the major book repository of the region – has unique collections of rare and valuable documents: manuscripts and early printed books, books of Russian type, miniature and unusually designed publications representing fine examples of printing art, books with autographs by prominent figures, art editions and sheet materials, etc.
