Results of Contest of Library Projects "The Big Read – 2015"

The results of the annual contest of library projects "The Big Read" dedicated to the Year of Literature in the Russian Federation and thus themed as "The Big Literary Journey" have been announced at the meeting of heads of municipal libraries of the Udmurt Republic on November 10.

This year’s contest received 43 applications from 2 cities and 17 districts of the Udmurt Republic. The majority of applications came from the libraries of Sarapulsky, Alnashsky and Votkinsky Districts.


The jury featuring librarians of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic and representatives of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Udmurt Republic selected one best project in each of 5 nominations:

  • "Literary Map" – the project "Electronic Literary Map of Igrinsky District" by Igrinskaya Central Library System (managed by Galimullina N. P.);
  • "Around the World" – the project "Finno-Ugria – the Fairy Land" by Zavyalovsky District Central Library (managed by Osotova E. B.);
  • "Travelogue" – the project "Monsters of Reading: Olympic Games in High-Speed Reading" by Library № 7 of Votkinsk Central Library System (managed by Glinenko F. I.);
  • "Time Machine" – the project "Virtual Excursion to Votkinsk of 1910-1914" by E. Permyak Central Library for the Youth of Votkinsk Central Library System (managed by Melnik L. A., Moskvina S. V.);
  • "Treasure Island (Quest)" – the project "The Journey to the Unexplored Worlds…" by Naberezhny Branch of Glazov Central Library System (managed by Myshkina N. R.).

The prize award ceremony will take place at the Official Closure of the Year of Literature.
