Online Lecture by Yevgeny Popov “Archipelago Aksenov”

On October 9 at 5 pm Electronic Reading Room of National Library of Udmurt Republic (Lomonosova St., 9) is organizing the live broadcast of the lecture by Yevgeny Popov “Archipelago Aksenov: Aksenov, Trifonov and Their Epoch”

It will be the third lecture in the internet lecture series organized as part of the Year of Literature in Russia by the non-commercial fund "Pushkin Library" with support by the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation.


Yevgeny A. Popov – writer, vice-president of the Russian PEN-Center, secretary of Moscow Union of Writers, laureate of the National Literary Award "Bolshaya Kniga" ("Big Book") – will talk about his friendship with classic writer of the Russian literature Vasily Aksyonov, his and Aksenov’s involvement with an independent, legendary almanac "Metropol", Aksenov’s connections with other prominent figures of the late 20th century Russian literature – Bella Akhmadulina, Vladimir Vysotsky, Yury Trifonov, Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn and other. 


The audience watching the lecture will have an opportunity to address questions to the lecturer.
