From June 20 to July 6 the Division of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic (Udmurtskaya St., 264) is staging the book exhibition "Erich Maria Remarque: to 120th Anniversary”.

On June 22, which is the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, the  National Library of the Udmurt Republic is taking part in the Lesson of Remembrance hosted at the State Council of the Udmurt Republic.

From 15 to 30 June, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is taking part in a month-long drug awareness campaign in the Udmurt Republic timed to the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking (observed on June 26 since 1987).

On June 15 at 4 pm National Library of Udmurt Republic is organizing a meeting with historian and art expert Y. F. Shumilov dedicated to his 75th anniversary. The event will take place at the Udmurt State Philarmonia (Pushkinskaya St., 245).

Till the end of June the Center for National and Local History Literature and Bibliography of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is displaying the book exhibition timed to the 60th anniversary of A. M. Laptev – writer, critic, member of the Union of Writers of the Udmurt Republic and the Russian Federation, Honored Journalist of the Udmurt Republic.

On 12 June the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is traditionally taking part in the Udmurt national festival "Gerber". The festive event will start at 12 midday in "Berezovaya roshcha" park, Izhevsk.

On June 6, which is the birthday of the legendary Russian poet Aleksandr Pushkin and Russian Language Day, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is organizing an annual public campaign "Reading Pushkin Together". The event will take place at Gogol Boulevard at 11 am.

On 26 May biblio bike ride "Pedal to the Library" dedicated to the centenary of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic will take place in Izhevsk, starting in Kirov’s Park at 11 am.

Until the end of May Division of Rare and Valuable Documents of National Library of Udmurt Republic (Pushkinskaya St. 200) is staging the exhibition "Library's Age-mates: Books Published in 1918".

On 23 May at 11 am the State Council of the Udmurt Republic’s sessions hall will host a festive meeting on the 100th anniversary of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic and the All-Russian Day of Libraries.

Tensina published recently in the press and timed to the 100th anniversary of National Library of Udmurt Republic: “The library is the most democratic cultural institution” (Izvestia Udmurtskoi Respubliki. 2018. 12 April. P. 4-5) and “The Library has its own elixir of immortality” (Respublika. 2018. № 2. P. 70–75).

On May 18 at 3 pm the Institute for Education Development (Ukhtomsky St. 25) is awarding prizes to the winners of the VIII Interregional contest of literary translations "Translation in the Field of Multilingualism" (academic year 2017-2018).

 

This year’s competition organized jointly by the Institute for Education Development of the Udmurt Republic and the Division of Literature in Foreign Languages of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic attracted 580 contestants (with over 715 submissions) from Udmurtia, Tatarstan, Perm Krai, Bashkortostan, Chuvash Republic, Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Mari El.

On May 15 the 7th interregional conference of educational, research and creative works and projects of students with disabilities "Wings of Hope 2018" will be held in Izhevsk. Organizers — School No. 53 together with the Regional Center for Library Services to Blind and Visually Impaired Users of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

On 8 May at 1 pm Center for National and Local History Literature and Bibliography of National Library of Udmurt Republic (Udmurtskaya St. 264) is hosting a lecture by S. N. Selivanovskiy "Izhevsk in the Years of the Great Patriotic War" timed to Victory Day.

In the Year of Volunteers in the Russian Federation, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic relaunches the campaign "Message from the Frontline", initiated by the library and supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Udmurt Republic and the regional branch of the Russian Military-Historical Society.

On April 20 at 6.20 pm the Udmurt State Philharmonia is hosting a presentation of the new thematic collection "Tchaikovsky’s Native Land" for the "Mobile Library of Udmurtia", the project developed by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

On April 21 from 11 am to 11 pm the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is hosting events within the annual all-Russian campaign in support of reading "Biblionight-2018". This year's program is dedicated to the centenary of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic and all events are united by one theme "The Magic of a Book".

On March 29 at 10 am the National Library of the Udmurt Republic started the public campaign "Hand Round a Good Deed" organized by the Regional Center for Library Services to Blind and Visually Impaired Users as part of the Interregional Festival "The World United for All" supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Udmurt Republic.

On March 29 the annual forum "Library. Government. Society" organized by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic together with the Kiznersky District of the Republic will open in Kizner as part of the federal project "Libraries of Russia".

On June 22, the Day of Memory and Sorrow marking the day when the Great Patriotic War broke out, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is organizing the Lesson of Courage for pupils featuring literary-historical excursion at the Square of the Eternal Flame with poet, bard and local history expert Sergej Zhilin.
