On December 5, on the International Volunteer Day, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is marking the closure of the Year of the Volunteer in Russia and hosting the final event of the public campaign "Hand Round a Good Deed".

The submission period for the IX Interregional Contest "Translation in the Field of Multilingualism" for pupils of secondary schools and vocational educational institutions of the Volga Federal District of Russia opens on 1 December 2018. The contest is organized by the Institute for Education Development of the Udmurt Republic and the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

Throughout November, the Center for National and Local History Literature and Bibliography (264, Udmurtskaya st.) is staging the book exhibition "Izhevsk – the Outpost of Russian Motorcycle Production" timed to the 130th anniversary of P. V. Mozharov, the first designer of Izhevsk motorcycles.

On 27 November at 6 pm, the "Udmurt Krai" Club of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic (264, Udmurtskaya st.) is hosting a presentation of the book by a young Udmurt poet Anastasia Shumilova "Ku" ("Skin") (2018).

On November 27, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is running a programme of events dedicated to the World Udmurt Language Day. The day is timed to the date of adoption of the Law of the Udmurt Republic "On the state languages of the Udmurt Republic and other languages of the peoples of the Udmurt Republic".

On 16 November 2018, the newspaper "Vyshka" (Azerbaijan) published an article about the interregional scientific and practical conference with international participation held on 7-9 November "Libraries and Intercultural Interaction of the Peoples of Russia and the Countries of the Near and Far Abroad" dedicated to the centenary of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

On November 9 the National Library of the Udmurt Republic with support of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Udmurt Republic and the All-Udmurt Association “Udmurt Kenesh” are hosting II Republican Forum "Young Library Professionals". The Forum will take place at the House of People’s Friendship (33a, Ordzhonikidze st., Izhevsk).

On October 11, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is staging a guest exhibition of books "Prominent Udmurt Linguists" at IV International Scientific-Practical Conference "Traditions and Innovations in Philological and Ethnocultural Education in the Context of Crosslingual Communication". The conference will take place at the National Theater of the Udmurt Republic (73, M. Gorkogo st., Izhevsk).

On September 25 at 4 pm the Academic Library of the Udmurt State University named after V. A. Zhuravlev (4b Lomonosova st.) is hosting the "Udmurt Krai" Club meeting timed to the anniversary of literary critic, laureate of Ashalchi Oki Award L. P. Fedorova.

On September 19 at 6 pm the Bureau of Сity Projects "Lift" (216, Pushkinskaya st.) is hosting a literary club meeting of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic "Knizhnaya Sreda" ("The Book Sphere") featuring a meeting with poet Ivan Malov (Fr. Ioann).

On September 11-12Director of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic Tatiana Vladimirovna Tensina is taking part in the International Congress of Reading dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Astana as the capital of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Until the end of September, the Center for National and Local History Literature and Bibliography of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic (264, Udmurtskaya st.) is displaying the book exhibition "Inspired by Folklore: to T. G. Vladykina's Anniversary".

We are delighted to announce that the National Library of the Udmurt Republic has acquired the first volume "Poeziya" ("Poetry") of a new unique anthology "Sovremennaya literatura narodov Rossii" ("Contemporary Literature of the Peoples of Russia") published in Moscow in 2017 within the framework of the Program of Support of National Literatures of the Peoples of the Russian Federation.

Until the end of August the Center for National and Local History Literature and Bibliography of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is displaying the book exhibition dedicated to the 75th anniversary of Udmurt poet Vladimir Romanov.

On August 25 from 5 pm the all-Russian event "Cinema Night" timed to the Day of Russian Cinema will take place in Cosmonauts Park, Izhevsk. The event will be participated by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

On August 17 at 19 pm the Bureau of Сity Projects "Lift" (Pushkinskaya St., 216) is hosting a literary club meeting of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic "Knizhnaya Sreda" (“The Book Sphere”) featuring a presentation of a new poetry collection by Tatyana Repina.

On August 13 at 10 am, the Zoo of Udmurtia is hosting the annual charity event for people with disabilities "Towards a Dream" participated by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

From 20 July to 20 August the art gallery "Blik" in Zelenodolsk (Tatarstan) is hosting the exhibition of postcards "The Lily of the Valley’s Soul" showcasing over 80 exhibits from the personal collection of chief bibliographer of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic Elena A. Ivanova.

Until the end of September, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic invites everyone to join a web campaign dedicated to the 60th anniversary of a Besermyan poet Mikhail Ivanovich Fedotov (1958–1995).

Until July 20 the National Library of the Udmurt Republic (Udmurtskaya St., 264) is staging the book exhibition "James Aldridge. Images of Childhood" timed to the writer's 100th anniversary.
