On April 19, the newly upgraded Multi-sensory Room of the Regional Center for Library Services to Blind and Visually Impaired Users of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic (9 Lomonosova St.) hosted an interactive lesson "Tailed Therapy Assistants".

On April 23, the "Udmurt Krai" Club of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held the meeting with prose writer Maria Vekshina (the first in a series of meetings with young writers from Malopurginsky District of Udmurtia as part of the campaign "Literature Days of Malopurginsky District").

On April 20 from 11 am to 9 pm the National Library of the Udmurt Republic hosted events within annual all-Russian campaign "Biblionight". This year's programme official theme was "All the world's a stage" dedicated to the Year of Theatre in Russia.

At the end of March, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic took part in the Scientific-practical Conference XXIV Orlov’s Readings organized by the National Library of the Republic of Mari El named after S. G. Chavain.

On March 21, the State National Theater of the Udmurt Republic hosted the Hour of Artistic Reading organized by the National Library of the Udmurt Republic together with the actors of the theatre as part of the campaign "Literature Day of Malopurginsky District".

On March 20, the Literary Club of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic hosted a meeting with Izhevsk poet Anna Glukhova (presently writing under the pen name Grata).

On May 23–28, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic, the Council of Veterans of Cultural Workers of the Udmurt Republic and the Republican House of Folk Arts, with the support of the Presidential Grants Foundation, the Ministry of Culture of the Udmurt Republic and the Russian Culture Foundation, are holding the Literary Festival "In the Homeland of P. I. Tchaikovsky".

On March 21, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held a presentation of a multi-format specially adapted edition for people with visual impairments "Izhevsk Teatralniy" [Theatrical Izhevsk] issued to the Year of Theater in Russia.

On April 6 at 1 pm the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is hosting the regional round of the reading aloud championship in the Russian language "Otkroy Rot" ("Open Your Mouth"). The event will take place at the conference hall of the Udmurt State Philharmonia (Pushkinskaya St., 245).

On March 12, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held a presentation of a three-volume collection of works by A. A. Ermolaev related to Udmurt literature and titled "Udmurt literaturalen ingozhystyz" [On the Udmurt literature’s background]. The publication is dedicated to the 85th anniversary of the author.

2019 marks the centenary of Mikhail T. Kalashnikov (1919–2013), the legendary arms designer.  A special celebration in his honour is set for a grand state reception in accordance with the decree of the President of the Russian Federation. The National Library of the Udmurt Republic is also preparing to participate in M. Kalashnikov’s 100th anniversary.

On March 5 at 5pm the "Udmurt Krai" Club of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is hosting a special commemorative literary evening dedicated to the Udmurt poet Iosif Z. Ivanov (1953–2015).

On February 28 at 6 pm, the Literary Club of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is hosting a meeting with Izhevsk poet Sergey Danilov.

On February 21, on the International Mother Language Day, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic held a lecture by V. G. Panteleeva "Flor Vasiliev: between Literature and Social Commitment" dedicated to the poet’s 85th anniversary.

On February 21, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic hosted a regional session of the telebridge "Afghan War: Truth and Myths", timed to the 30th anniversary of the withdrawal of Soviet troops from the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan.

On January 15 the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation in the Udmurt Republic hosted a presentation of the new thematic collection for the Mobile Library of Udmurtia dedicated to M. Kalashnikov’s 100th anniversary.

To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the National Library of the Udmurt Republic, a special gift edition "Udmurtia v Tsitatakh" ("Udmurtia in Quotations") has been released. The book is addressed to everyone interested in the history and culture of the Udmurt Republic, and might serve as a pleasant and useful souvenir for all guests of our region.

On December 21, the State Council of the Udmurt Republic awarded the winners of the All-Russian contest "100 Best Goods of Russia 2018" – institutions, organizations and enterprises of the Udmurt Republic, including the National Library of the Udmurt Republic.

On December 18 at 14.30, the National Library of the Udmurt Republic is hosting a meeting with teaching artist and magician Kevin Spencer (USA), author of the interactive therapeutic program "Hocus Focus".
